Gantt Chart

Gantt Chart view is the default view in Microsoft® Project. It is a graphical view that contains table sheet (on the left side) where the project managers create the project plan and bar chart (on the right side) where all information from the table is graphically presented. It is a project-planning tool used to represent the time frame of each task necessary for successfully completing the project plan. Seavus Project Viewer's Gantt Chart is identical with the Microsoft® Project's Gantt Chart representing all information in the same way as they are inserted in the Microsoft® Project.

Tracking Gantt

The Tracking Ganttview belongs to the Gantt Chart family and it is used for tracking the progress of the project. It shows which task from the project plan are overdue and which task has been completed on time. What make this view unique is the additional bar in the bar chart, contains the baseline information. Seavus Project Viewer supports this view, allowing the users to track the project's progress.

Leveling Gantt

The Leveling delay column is the main characteristic in the Leveling Gantt view. In this column the delays are calculated during the automatic leveling process. The bar chart contains several bars are included for each task from the project plan.

Detail Gantt

 |
The Detail Ganttview is very similar to the Leveling Gantt view but this view show where the task's delay was created as a result of automatic or manual leveling. However, the Detailed Gantt view doesn't show how the task was scheduled before delaying but it shows the slack amount at the right side (bar chart). The Detailed Gantt view is fully supported by Seavus Project Viewer with all functionalities.

Descriptive Network Diagram

The Descriptive Network Diagram belongs to the Relationship diagram views category, in which the project plan is display in box-line format. The boxes contain detailed information of all tasks in the project and the line is used to illustrate the predecessors and successors of every task. The most common use is in the design phase in order to ensure that the project plan is flowing logically. Seavus Project Viewer supports this view with all functionalities.

Relationship Diagram |

The Relationship diagram is a special view derivate from the Network diagram. It shows only the immediate predecessors and successors for one task in the project plan. The best use is with the combination view (the screen is divided in two panes: top pane where usually the Gantt chart or Task sheet is located and the bottom pane where is located the Relationship diagram) for examining the task dependences for the tasks selected in the top pane. Seavus Project Viewer supports both type of using the Relationship diagram: As a stand-alone view or in combination with another view.

Task Sheet |

Task Sheet view belongs to the Sheet views category, providing the users with the necessary information regarding the project plan. It has a spreadsheet format, where tasks are displayed in rows and the task's information are displayed in columns. Task sheet view is supported by Seavus Project Viewer.

Task Usage

Task Usage view also belongs to the Sheet views category and displays the working hours, costs or availability for the resources on each task in the project plan. It is very helpful when the project managers are checking the resources assignments on each task. Seavus Project Viewer supports this view with all functionalities.

Resource Sheet

The Resource Sheet view contains the information for the resources assigned on the task in the project plan in spreadsheet format. The project manager can enter additional information that will not be displayed in the table sheet. The best use is with the combination view (the screen is divided in two panes: top pane where usually the Resource Sheet is located and the bottom pane where is located the Gantt Chart) for examining the resource's assignment in the tasks selected in the top pane Seavus Project Viewer supports both type of using the Resource Sheet: As a stand-alone view or in combination with another view.

Resource Usage |

The Resource Usage view has two parts: resource's list on the left (in the table sheet) and their allocation to the task in the project plan on the right (on a timescale). The user can work with the following information on the timescale: hours of work, hours of overallocated work, cost, available time etc. Seavus Project Viewer supports this view with all functionalities.

Milestone Data Rollup

The main characteristic of the Milestone Data Rollup is that this view, in the bar chart, includes dates rolled up to the summary task bars, along with the resources names. This characteristic excludes importing the date's column in the table sheet, providing better navigation of the project plan. Seavus Project Viewer supports this view with all functionalities.

Calendar |

The Calendar view is very useful for reviewing the task from the project plan that need to be done on a specific day. Seavus Project Viewer provides excellent overview of all tasks in the project plan. In addition users can view the main task information (start date, finish date, resources, notes, % complete etc.) from the calendar view.
